the CDC released a new guide,
Advancing the Nation’s Health: A
Guide to Public Health Research
Needs, 2006-2015. Touted as the
“first-ever comprehensive,
long-term, national resource
spanning all areas of health
protection...” this guide identifies
seven public health research areas
to address over the next decade. At
the core of this expansive and fluid
compendium is the necessity of
interdisciplinary approaches to
enhance public health.
